Designed for the continual diluting and mixing of large volumes of drilling fluid, the Vertical Mixing Head brings ultimate blending performance to deepwater environments. Simultaneous large volume diluting and ”mixing-on-the-fly” has shown significant savings in time and space when drilling in a deepwater environment.
The unique design of the Vertical Mixing Head provides optimum mixing capabilities, whether mixing barite to rapidly increase the drilling fluid density or diluting “on-the-fly” during a riserless drilling operation. After the initial phase of “mixing-on-the-fly” is completed, the Vertical Mixing Head can be used to enhance the drilling fluid properties and maintain fluid stability by pumping the drilling fluid through the mixer to induce additional dynamic shearing during chemical treatments. |
