The Lobestar® Air Eductor and Booster Elbow are extremely effective in the pneumatic conveyance of dry bulk products. Pressurized motive air is blown through the Lobestar® Jet Nozzle accelerating the conveying air and dry bulk powders while creating a vacuum at the suction port pulling the product through and expelling it from the eductor. The unique flow pattern and even pressure distribution of the Lobestar Jet Nozzle generates an exceptionally strong vacuum and creates a cushion of air between the pipe walls and the conveyed product.
In traditional pneumatic conveying systems, storage vessels containing the bulk product are pressurized. Rotary airlocks and valves can be used to regulate the flow of product and pressurized air out of the vessel and through the piping system to the receiving vessel. Rotary airlocks have moving parts which lead to maintenance downtime, and they tend to blow product back through the feed point, and create dust. The Lobestar® Mixing Eductor has no moving parts and requires virtually no maintenance, and the vacuum generated by the eductor keeps dust from escaping into the atmosphere at the feed point or inlet suction.
