Any process Industry where powders or granular materials are mixed with a liquid the interfacial contact between the primary (motive) flow and the secondary (suction) flow in the mixing chamber of an eductor determines the mix quality. The more stretching and folding, the more interfacial contact. The geometry of the LOBESTAR® JET NOZZLE generates a radial mixing region. The core flow interacts with the lobe flow providing rapid dynamic shearing and turbulent mixing. The intense vortices distribution in the mixing chamber of the LOBESTAR® MIXING EDUCTOR promotes the full potential of the dry powder or granular additives. Adequate mixing, entraining and dynamic shearing are essential in providing a homogenous product.

The LOBESTAR® JET NOZZLE and LOBESTAR® MIXING EDUCTOR are available in stainless steel for sanitary applications, as well as a variety of special materials, such as KYNAR® and UHMW. KYNAR® resists strong acids, solvents and reducing agents.

The design of the LOBESTAR® JET NOZZLE and LOBESTAR® MIXING EDUCTOR allow for application in the pneumatic conveyance of bulk product. The Lobestar® Jet Nozzle with its unique internal geometry generates multiple jet streams that emerge from the nozzle orifice. Each jet stream has an individual core with oscillating vortex rings that expand into a plume. The plume envelops the dry bulk product and carries it on an accelerating bed of air. The nozzle works in a pressure range of 30 to 100 psi, and outperforms the equivalent sized circular nozzle commonly found in most eductors.
